Tanya, how wonderful that you kept searching until you found an answer that makes sense to you. I hope you can take a deep breath, and know your girls are who they are in large part due to you.
I love that you are posting again - I enjoy hearing from any of you.

Thank goodness! Tanya, it is about time that you start seeing yourself the way we all see you. Your daughters are very lucky to have you as their mother (as your husband is to have you as his partner in life, and as we all are to have you as our friend, sister, daughter). You know that your daughters are fab in every way that can be imagined - and you and Chris deserve the credit (with help from grandparents, friends, etc!)

Tanya, that struck a chord in me in oh so many ways. Beautifully articulated.

Also, how wonderful to finally see a new post after checking the website every day for ages! I enjoy all the posts on DWC, no matter which of you is the author.

You have not ruined your son! I submit you have passed on to him a wonderful genetic gift. I bet you have also pass on to him other genetic gifts, the gifts of reflection and self worth. As I use to tell my daughter: "If it was easy everybody would have one!" She would glare at me and the next time she strove for an award, a prize, (or worked even harder), she got what she went after. When she succeeed ( and she usually did). I would say "I knew you could do it" and she would look at me with great pride and a smirk that said "Tell me something I don't already know." I say to you "If it was easy to be a parent you would have more." Your children are fortunate to have your genes.

I was wondering. Did you cheer when your award winning children's name was mentioned? That's what I thought. And they were proud when you did.

A friend of mine's son is currently in his first sex-ed class. He recently asked, "Mom? So, sometimes when we're all here eating dinner, are you just sitting over there BLEEDING?"

The insulated bag full of crackers and make up put me over the edge.

How did he ever pass the intensive testing/screening process for potential checkers?! You should look and make sure he didn't ring up your apples as nectarines and your onions as asparagus. No way that anyone who bags like that could possibly remember all those produce codes correctly!
