Been there. Never tried to grocery shop though, unless you count a stop at the in-store Dunkin' Donuts. Mike says to visit peopleofwalmart.com. I haven't been on it yet, but apparently it is hi-larious. Makes me want to go out in slippers and curlers!

Last time I was in Wisconsin, I had the same experience. I'd avoided Walmarts for years, and then when I was in one, I couldn't believe the low prices. Can't say I've been in one since then though.

If I had a Wal-Mart anywhere near me, I'd *totally* grocery shop there. But noooo, the Bay Area is too big I guess for the likes of Wal-Mart. There is one but it's a hefty drive away.

So instead I've become a slut for Trader Joe's. I always swore I wouldn't become one of those Trader Joe's people, but now I have become just that.

Desperate times and desperate measures, as the saying goes...

Fabulous post!

Ha! Hilarious. I soooooo know how you feel about the chatty cashier. Drives. Me. Bonkers.
By the way... if you have Big Lots!, they are a great source for fairly decent frames. I noticed that Tuesday Morning and Big Lots! seemed to get a hefty share of the Linens 'n Things stuff and are selling it for pretty good pricing. If you have either of those in your area...

Walmart is evil but, in this day and age, a necessary evil.
